Breathe and Embrace teaches us that just “being” is more than enough. Be kind to your spirit, be rooted in yourself and revel in the gift of just being here. If you look at your favorite plant, there is a self-care tag that explains what is needed to take care of the plant and to preserve its life. However, if you take notice of the self-care tag, it’s more than just watering the plant. It’s about satisfying the best interests of the plant, which requires forethought.

We too have a personal obligation to take good care of ourselves. How far would we be or how balanced would we feel if we were to create our own self-care tags?

You should try to create your own self-care tag. It’s simple. Choose the words that will honor yourself. Select those needed measures that will support yourself. And in good or bad times, refer to your self-care tag.

Physical Wellness

Participate in a 5k in your area. Running can control stress and boost the body's ability to deal with existing mental tension. Exercise also increases concentrations of norepinephrine, a chemical that helps moderate the brain's response to stress.

Finding a Therapist

In the journey to strong mental health, it is important to have access to professional help. It is worth the effort to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and that is invested in your health and personal growth.
